The National Curriculum and Beyond

“My name is Mike Cowdray.  I live in Cheshire, and am a former Assistant Headteacher.

I am writing to you today because I believe that my book, “The National Curriculum and Beyond”, could be of great value to parents whose children are making the transfer from Nursery to School.  The book describes in a straightforward, jargon-free way just what their children will be learning in their new school, together with advice about how they can help their children to make as much progress as possible in the new setting.

The book is completely up-to-date in terms of National Curriculum requirements, and extends beyond this to include many of the other subjects, topics, events and activities found in infant and primary schools (hence the title: “The National Curriculum and beyond”).

I would like to share information about the book with any parents whose children are in the process of transferring to school, perhaps via a newsletter, a mailing list, word of mouth, or by forwarding this e-mail.

The book is available on the internet in both paperback and Kindle formats (for £8.95 and £5.95 respectively), through Amazon and Waterstones among others.

I’ve included two chapters from the book with this mail, so that parents might make a judgement about how useful it might be. I have also attached a copy of my flyer, which gives a little more information.

Thank you for your time.

Mike Cowdray”
