AED (Automated external defibrillator)
Did you know 270 Children die every year in School through Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)? You can help cut that death toll today… We’re raising money to provide a life saving Defibrillator for Orangutans Day Care Nursery to ensure Safety for Children, Staff and Visitors in the unfortunate but frequent case of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
The AED has already been installed inside the Nursery and is available for use.
If the defibrillator is placed onto the patient who is in Cardiac Arrest within 3 minutes they will have a 70% chance of survival.
We are trying to raise £1,314 over the next 2 years to fund the cost of the defibrillator. We strongly believe that this piece is equipment should be mandatory for all nurseries. We have already raised £300 towards the cost of the defibrillator thanks to Kristy Lomas (a parent) who approached her company and they donated us the cost of almost the first years contract.
